In diffusion: Cinnamon is among the Essential Oils with the greatest antimicrobial activity: its fire cleans all kind of environments from bacteria and viruses with great efficacy. The warm, spicy and enveloping aroma of Cinnamon fights physical and mental asthenia, revives concentration, brings enthusiasm, removes torpor and drowsiness.
Massage: a dilution ranging from 0.2 to 0.5% should generally not be exceeded. Cinnamon stimulates the circulatory system: it is particularly effective in the treatment of muscle and joint pain, cold feet and venous stagnation. As it kindles also the microcirculation, it helps greatly with cellulite. When massaged on the belly, it stimulates digestion and the menstrual cycle (for this reason it is not recommended during pregnancy).
Cinnamon is extremely warming: it draws blood to the surface of the skin and increases the temperature in the area where it is applied. For this reason, it helps to burn localized fat. Add it to your cream or slimming oil and apply it consistently. But remember: in hot summers, Cinnamon can feel excessively warm.
Avoid during Pregnancy. Cinnamon Essential Oil, like most highly antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral oils, can safely be used on the epidermis but with moderation and great care. As effective as Cinnamon is at fighting infections, it could also irritate the skin and the mucous membranes. Usually, a dilution in Carrier Oil ranging from 0.2 to 0.5% should not be exceeded.
