Fennel Essential Oil
In diffusion: expectorant and antispasmodic, Fennel is extremely effective against colds. It is also particularly useful when we have to adapt to new circumstances, when we feel threatened by situations or by individuals, or when we feel we are not in control of our actions.
Massage: Fennel’s main sphere of action on a physical level is the digestive system: due to its warming, digestive, carminative and antispasmodic action, Fennel, when massaged on the belly, is truly beneficial to digestive problems, constipation, swelling. Fennel has also a slight diuretic and decongestant power of the lymphatic system: really useful at fighting fluid retention and cellulite. As Fennel contains phytosterols, which simulate the functions of estrogen, it increases milk production after birth and stimulates the menstrual cycle. Phytohormones, instead, work on the metabolism of skin cells: this makes Fennel perfectly suitable for the treatment of wrinkles, asphyxiated skin, loss of breast tone. Remember, if you plan to use it on your skin, Fennel should not exceed a concentration of 1% in Vegetable Oil.
Painful Menstrual Periods: massage on your lower abdomen a few drops of Fennel Essential Oil – always diluted in Vegetable Oil – it will give you relief and calm your muscle spasms.
Avoid during Pregnancy. We do not recommended the use of Fennel Essential Oil for people using anticoagulant therapies (for possible drug interactions) and people suffering from estrogen-dependent pathologies (e.g. uterine or breast tumors.
