USES
In diffusion: Vanilla is truly beneficial when used at home, in the evening hours, for a convivial occasion or for relaxing. Its calming and comforting action is due to “vanillin”, a volatile aromatic compound able to come into contact with our body not only orally but also through smell: this molecule increases the production by the pituitary gland of a hormone called oxytocin, which irradiates a state of tranquility, serenity, counteracting the action of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that causes aggressive behavior and irritability.
Massage, ointments and frictions, aromatic baths: the excellent cosmetic action of Vanilla is due to a polyphenol, a molecule able to counteract the free radicals that cause skin aging. Vanilla is widely used in combination with carrier oils (almond, jojoba, rice, argan) for relaxing and nourishing massages. Its emollient properties are particularly effective on dry skin. A few drops of Vanilla Essential Oil are enough to perfume a shampoo, a cream or a face-mask.

Mix a few drops of Vanilla (10-15) with 20g of Shea Butter: you will get an exceptional lip balm.
