Essential oils for a better awakening
Waking up when the cold weather first sets in becomes slower and more difficult: the white light of autumn mornings and the rigid temperatures are not a great incentive to jump out of bed and start the day. Aromatherapy provides us with excellent tools to make waking up a positive and dynamic experience: some essential oils help us to give a better direction to this important start and prepare us for the activities we are about to carry out.
A good daily practice:
Mist the essential oil around you, immerse yourself in a fragrant cloud and take the time to listen to the message the plant brings you. Take three deep breaths to greet the day and decide to face it in the best possible way. If you usually take a shower in the morning, enrich the steam with a mist of essential oil to treat yourself to a pampering experience.
The awakening plants:
Let's look at some essential oils that help us to start or maintain our path, to cultivate high thoughts and to consolidate a positive predisposition.
Orange and Mandarin give us back the positivity of the sun's rays that are missing at this time: use them in the morning to visualize a warm color, to bring a smile to your face.
Lavender - especially if diffused in the morning - helps us to clarify which direction to take: ideal for moments of confusion, it brings peace to heart and mind.
Litsea is an energizer, it makes us active and sparkling: perfect for those who tend to get lazy during winter, it awakens the desire to live and helps to appreciate the small things in everyday life.
Peppermint, Thyme and Basil are stimulating plants for the nervous system: they promote concentration and memory. They are indicated to encourage a more rational and lucid attitude, but also an open and courageous one. These essential oils are particularly recommended in cases of mental fatigue and stress, to lighten the load of tension and clarify ideas.
White Fir and Eucalyptus tone and invigorate the mind from states of apathy, stimulating dynamism and willpower. They give us back the freshness of thought that comes from a walk through the forests, leading us to look up towards higher ideas.
Lemongrass - as well as Ravensara - helps to overcome somatizations related to stress, to break free from stagnation and closure, and to remove recurring thoughts. Rebalancing the nervous system, these plants increase psychic power in a direction of well-being that also has a great influence on the physical.
Have a great day everyone!
