The 2 main axes make visible four points that prove to be essential for deeply understanding the characteristics of the chart: Ascendant (Asc), Descendant (Disc), Midheaven (MC), and Imum Coeli (IC).

  • The Imum Coeli suggests where the soul comes from, what journey it took before birth, and what kind of baggage it carries.
  • The Midheaven indicates the main aspirations and goals that could be achieved in this life.
  • The Ascendant shows us the path that will be taken to fulfill oneself, providing important elements to understand how much effort this path will require, which tools will be useful, and which parts of oneself to draw upon.
  • The Descendant, finally, represents the people who will interact with us throughout this journey, the signs and gifts they will leave us.
