The warmth of salt and the power of essential oils for well-being
A hot salt compress is an extremely useful and inexpensive remedy for improving kidney function and clearing the respiratory tract.
Those who often have dark circles or bags under their eyes or feel particularly tired should tone their kidneys. Acting on this organ makes diuresis and drainage more efficient and improves the state of fluid retention. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the kidney is the most important energetic organ in the body, and it is recommended to safeguard its functions as much as possible. The compress:
Heat 1kg of coarse salt in a large pan until it is boiling hot and place it inside a pillowcase. Once done, roll it up and tie it around the lumbar area with a scarf or foulard.
The same salt should not be used for more than about ten applications.
You will benefit most from the hot compress by rubbing the area with any basic oil or cream to which you have added a few drops of Ginger essential oil. It is also possible to pour a few drops between the grains of salt.
The same type of preparation is also perfectly suitable for those suffering from flu and catarrhal cough.
In this case, the salt and Ginger compress will be placed on the chest at the height of the bronchi or between the shoulder blades.
Salt, in fact, dries out excess fluids in the body.
But why Ginger essential oil?
According to TCM, Ginger is the root that treats cold-related illnesses. In addition to its immense "warming" power, this oil has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger's properties, among which its aphrodisiac effect for men stands out, are all linked to the treatment of "internal cold."
It is strongly connected to the energetics of the lung, where it transforms cold phlegm.
In case of flu, a very pleasant method to "get rid of the cold from your feet" in the true sense of the word, will be a hot foot bath with coarse salt and Ginger.
These traditional remedies are certainly recommended for those who frequently suffer from respiratory system ailments, for those with kidney weakness and energy drops.
During the cold winter, however, they are equally healthy and pleasant for everyone, especially in the evening, after a gloomy day. Try it to believe it!
